While this project is still in development, I'm thrilled to give you a sneak peek at a passion project I've been working on. I created the design and branding for Palm Beach Shuffle, a grassroots shuffle community is Palm Beach County.
What started as a collaboration with a fellow enthusiast grew into monthly meetups where dancers could connect and share their love of shuffling in person, rather than practicing solo.
As our community grew and interest in upcoming events surged, we knew it was time to expand our digital presence. The new website will serve as our community hub – a space for event announcements, community resources, and capturing the energy of our growing shuffle family.
Highlights
- Brand Essence: I captured the vibrant spirit of Palm Beach Shuffle using vibrant-colored gradients contrasted with dark backgrounds, bold typography to convey its bold spirit, and palm trees to symbolize its local roots.
- User-Centered Design: I meticulously crafted the website's design with the user experience in mind. By developing user personas, I carefully considered their journey and interactions with the site, ensuring a seamless and intuitive navigation.
- Creative Leadership: Since I was the client and the designer for this one, I exercised decisive leadership throughout the project, taking ownership of the creative direction and bringing the vision to life.
- Dabbling in Graphic Design: Along with the website, I also created collateral for social media posts to announce upcoming events.
Challenges
- Finding the Time: Passion projects, while rewarding, require a significant time commitment. To overcome this, I utilized productivity tools like ClickUp and TickTick to effectively manage my time and maintain project momentum.

Results
I'm excited to share the finished website by mid-2025! Launching this site will be a huge milestone for our shuffle community that I will be ecstatic to share. But for now, please enjoy the design mockup I have poured my heart into. Thank you for looking!
